The Short Essay on Topic Global Warming
The Short Essay on Topic Global WarmingA short essay on the topic of global warming is one of the most popular topics for high school teachers to use in their lesson plans. Global warming is a common and more common subject than most people think. No one can deny that the earth is getting warmer and, depending on your viewpoint, you may be inclined to believe that this may be a good thing or not. What is so interesting about the topic, global warming is that it presents a very polarized view. There are people who believe that this is not a good thing and that if we do not do something about it, the earth will become uninhabitable for human beings. Most people who are vocal in their opposition to global warming simply dismiss the issue out of hand. They ignore the facts that man-made emissions of carbon dioxide have resulted in a drastic increase in temperature and that it will only get worse as more time goes by. Now, we are facing an onslaught of ice and snow that has baffled meteorol ogists and scientists. Why is this happening? One of the main reasons is that the water vapor from the earth's oceans has reached a fever pitch due to the buildup of greenhouse gases. This is just one reason why the earth's temperatures are increasing and one of the major causes of global warming. A more complicated explanation is that greenhouse gases trapping the sun's heat is causing the earth to heat up and this raises the water temperature, which in turn, heats up the atmosphere which in turn results in the rise of the temperature. As temperatures continue to rise, the planet becomes much hotter and it is likely that we will see a cooling trend eventually.A short essay on the topic of global warming is an ideal way to teach this subject to the class. The objective is to show how the role played by man in creating greenhouse gases is a major factor that is affecting the climate. It would also be helpful to show how the different perspectives from those who oppose global warming a re valid and where the similarities between their positions can be found. These themes will help to form a cohesive vision of the world as one with a few good points that will benefit humanity. Many textbooks and online versions of math curriculum websites do not take the temperature of the world into consideration when presenting topics. The assignment is to include a side-by-side comparison of some data to give students a more informed and well-rounded view of the world we live in.Of course, the assignment is for both the student and the teacher to determine how many additional points this essay will add to the overall grade of the student. Either way, it is one way to begin the discussion of a worthy subject that could affect our future as a species.
